On this beautiful Thursday we are really going to treat you with Canopy Tours which is a first in Africa, in the beautiful Tsitsikamma area in the Garden Route. You will enjoy the beauty of the indigenous forest high up on ten treetop platforms where you will gently glide along in a harness, on steel cables 30 m above the forest floor. The bird life is abundant here (including the Knysna Loeries and the elusive Narina Trojan), and your guides will explain the ecology of the lush primeval forest. Safety is of utmost importance, and the system has been built to the highest civil engineering standards. Guides are fully-trained professionals.
The Canopy Tour will last for about 2 and half to 3 hours and costs R 495.00 pp, this includes your park fee. Bookings are essential as it is subject to availability and the tours are conducted in all weather conditions but can be cancelled in the interest of clients' safety. It lasts for about 3 hours after which you will return to the reception area to enjoy a light meal.

As always we will never leave you with the taste of only one adventure and therefore we also offer you Caving, Climbing, Crocodile Cage Diving and Deep Sea Fishing to plan a very adventurous and fun weekend!

Caving we offer in the beautiful magical caves 29 km from Oudtshoorn in the Klein Karoo. Here lies a spectacular underground with the finest drip-stone caverns consisting of vast halls and towering formations. These are the only show caves in Africa and offers a choice between a Standard Tour which is easy and an Adventure Tour. All the tours are led by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited Cave Guides. The tours are offered in English, but Afrikaans, German, French and other language guides may be available - this will be checked upon making a booking.

Aside from Caving the Klein Karoo also offers adventure seekers Crocodile Cage Diving Encounters. This dive is a world-first and is available to visitors 14 years and older. Children between 8 years and 13 years need to be accompanied by a parent or a legal guardian when participating in the dive. Crocodile Cage Diving will allow you to view the Nile Crocodiles face-to-face in a way that you have never seen a crocodile before. The activity runs all year except some of the winter months.

If you are not in the mood to get wet or glide through the trees we also offer Climbing in Cape Town and KZN
Here you have a choice between indoor and outdoor climbing. Indoor Climbing is a sport that builds fitness, strength, confidence, flexibility and balance and can be compared to a combo of yoga and weightlifting giving you a full body workout. It can become a lifestyle and many people climb with friends as a social event. This is also suitable for children aged 5 years and up and is perfect for kids birthday parties.

South Africa is a rock climber’s paradise and perfect for Outdoor Climbing. It offers spectacular routes of all grades on fantastic quality rock in pristine mountain environments. The crags here are not as overcrowded as those in other countries and the quality of  the climb often surpass those found in other parts of the world. You can also join a fully guided, two or three-week rock climbing trip on routes ranging from single-pitch to five pitches (maximum 150 m high).

Lastly, but certainly not least, we offer Deep Sea Fishing for those who like to rough it on the blue waters of the ocean. This is available in Cape Town, KZN and the the Garden Route areas.

In Cape Town you can choose between a 4 hour local Inshore Fishing trip or an 8 hour Deep Sea Fishing trip. The 4 hour trip will start at 10 am in the beautiful Table Bay where you will enjoy trolling and bottom fishing in and around Robben Island. It includes professional fishing gear, snacks and drinks and your catch will include Snoek, Yellowtail, Jaco Peeva and the Hottentot among other bottom feeders. The 8 hour Deep Sea Fishing trip will start at 6 am where you will head out to the deep sea fishing waters. Here you will enjoy uninterrupted views of the incredible Cape coastline. You will be able to fish for about 4 hours and keep your catch. You will also enjoy snacks, drinks and professional fishing gear. The catch includes Long-fin Tuna, Yellow-fin Tuna, Dorado and the occasional rare Marlin. The trip ends at 2 pm.

Deep Sea Fishing in KZN is operated in Umhlanga,15 minutes north of Durban. You will experience the excitement of getting out to the fishing waters as the boats launch and return to the shore through the waves, a very thrilling experience for first-timers. The skippers are highly experienced and collectively have around 20 000 incident free hours at sea. Everyone can enjoy this amazing experience from beginners to experienced anglers, men and women and children from 5 years and up. From December to May you can enjoy some game fishing as there is an abundance of King Mackerel, Queen Mackerel, Dorado, Kingfish, Queenfish, Sailfish, Marlin and Tuna. Live bait and lures are used to catch most of these fish species. From June to November the main target is Garrick. This is a very strong fighting fish and is caught using live bait just behind the waves. Throughout the whole year there are good catches of reef fish like Rock Cod, Salmon and Reds. For Shark fishing the smaller Grey Sharks are targeted and provide a lot of excitement as they range between 8 kg and 50 kg and they give a good fight. All sharks are released after the catch!*

Finally in the Garden Route you can choose to go on a Deep Sea Fishing expedition in either Mossel Bay or Plettenberg BayIn Mossel Bay you will have the chance to catch a 10 kg + Kabeljou, Yellowbelly Rockord or a large Sunter, but there are many other species that also roam the ocean in that area and the chances are good that you might catch several of them on one trip.

In Plettenberg Bay your fishing adventure will start between 6:00 and 7:30 (depending on the time of year)  and will take about 25 minutes during which you will see whales, dolphins, seals and penguins all in their natural habitat. In the warm summer waters Cape Salmon and Cob are the popular catches and in the cold winter waters Hake and Red Roman. Sharks can be caught throughout the year. The trip will last for about 5 hours. Experienced deck hands will help you with the bait and you are allowed to keep all your catches within the bag limits. The boats are equipped with GPS and radio, a fish finder, 2 x 125 Mercury Outboard Motors, 28 ft ButCat, light tackle for game fishing and heavy tackle for bottom fishing. The boats are also permitted and certified. All you need to bring is your fishing licence, sun hat, sunblock, camera and a warm top.

We hope these adventures have helped with the planning of your weekend! We look forward to hear from you very soon.

Here we offer the world’s original highest commercial abseil where you are surrounded by astonishing views and have the deep blue Atlantic Ocean at your feet! You don't need any experience, just a bit of crazy and a lust for an adrenaline rush.

Durban - Howick Falls at 107 m (357 feet) you will abseil beside South Africa’s second highest waterfall, Howick Falls, making it one of the tallest abseils in South Africa. Shongweni Dam & Game Reserve is a 1700 hectare reserve situated approximately 40 km from Durban. It is home to various wildlife and bird species and is used to conduct leadership, personal development, team building and adventure events. You determine your own pace, and have the opportunity to fully enjoy the thrill of one of the world’s highest commercial abseils. The first 45 m is a cliff abseil while the remaining 65 m is a free abseil. Beginners will be given full instruction on the techniques and only when they have satisfied certain requirements will they be lowered over the edge of the 170 m waterfall.

A brand new development, especially for group bookings, is a gorgeous abseil site at Robberg in Plettenberg Bay where the view overlooks the sea and allows one to do whale watching as you descend.
Tsitsikamma - You will abseil 30 m down a cliff into a fern cove. This adventure activity is suitable for ages 7 years and up and requires pre-booking as it is usually offered as a package combined with the "Waterfall Zip line Tour".
